PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY-BASED)

Education

:

Bachelor’s degree in the Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, Economics, Social Work and other related social science disciplines

Training

:

With four (4) hours of relevant training

Experience

:

  • At least one (1) year relevant experience in program/ project development and management

  • Experience in working government and/or development partners’ projects

  • Experience in developing plans, tracking results and reporting project outcomes

Additional requirements/preferences: 


  • Working knowledge of the administrative and financial procedures related to procurement policies of government agencies; and monitoring and evaluation of multi-stakeholder development projects;

  • Preferably familiar with DSWD social protection programs and strategies;

  • Good written and oral communication skills;

  • Proficiency in the use of standard software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.);

  • Ability respond quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment with multi -tasking capabilities


JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Project Development Officer II will help liaise with OBS to monitor the implementation of approved PAPS. He or she will help prepare and consolidate progress reports, help maintain the BFIRST databases and attend to other requirements of the Individual Consultants and the PMU as a whole, to include ensuring that the Project Director’s directives and assignments to the PMU are properly addressed; and does related staff work.


Functions and Responsibilities:


1. Helps to prepare periodic and special reports in the status and progress of the BFIRST Project implementation;

2. Facilitates tasks and activities on PAP development, procurement, implementation and closure;

3. Coordinates and liaises with OBS to monitor and facilitate PAP progress;

4. Assists in other knowledge management tasks and activities;

5. Helps to maintain a database of completed, ongoing and prospective PAPS and ensure documentation of good practices and lessons learned from TA projects;

5. Contributes to meeting the secretariat requirements of the PMU (e.g. coordination of activities, preparation of minutes of meetings).


Job Outputs:

1. Updated PAP database;

2. Consolidated TA progress reports;

3. Knowledge projects/IEC materials;

4. Data matrices and presentations materials.
