Education          : Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Business Administration major in Accounting

Experience        :  One (1) year of relevant experience

Eligibility            :  R.A. 1080 (Certified Public Accountant)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, performs professional/technical functions in the accounting division/unit of the Commission; and does other related works.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.     Maintains special journals to general ledger in the accounting division;

2.     Prepares monthly and quarterly trial balance, and supporting documents such as breakdown of obligations incurred, statement of obligations liquidated, statement of allotments received and year-end financial reports such as preliminary and final trial balance, balance sheet, statement of operations;

3.     Analyzes national clearing account;

4.     Reviews and analyses trial balance and other reports submitted for consolidation;

5.     Provides feedback regarding financial finding reports of other units.

Job Outputs:

1.     Draft guidelines related to government financial management

2.     Improved internal control system

3.     Financial reports

4.     Draft memoranda and financial management guidelines

5.     Monitoring report for Notices of Disallowance and Suspension issued by the Commission on Audit

6.     Leads the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Commission (consolidated)

7.     Certified Disbursement Vouchers as to the completeness of documents and propriety of amounts claimed
