Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Division Chief, to perform technical support in relation to pertinent Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Association of SouthEast Nations (ASEAN) Bodies, bilateral/multilateral agreements, ensuring the Department’s active participation and contribution to the formulation of social protection related policies and initiatives.
Develop concept notes, activity proposals and documentation reports. Initiate, coordinate and facilitate inter-office, inter-bureau and inter-agency meetings on ASEAN, APEC, UN and other bilateral/multilateral agreements relative to the monitoring of compliance to regional and international commitments/instruments along social welfare and development/social protection.
Monitor the implementation of approved TAs within the approved work plans with the Development partners. Prepare and consolidate ODA progress reports, maintaining the project tracking database and attend to other requirements whenever necessary.
Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of the Department/Country position on the emerging national/regional and international issues/concerns for bilateral/multilateral cooperation relevant to the social welfare and development sector;
Provide comments, inputs, and talking points on possible areas of cooperation relevant to SWD and social protection programs, activities, and projects, including those that could be raised during State Visits and Regional/International bilateral/multilateral meetings;
Monitors the compliance of relevant social welfare and development policies and laws at the national level, including declarations and commitments to the Region (ASEAN and APEC), UN conventions and other international instruments;
Provide technical-support on inter-office, inter-bureau and inter-agency meetings on ASEAN, APEC, UN and other bilateral/multilateral agreements relative to the monitoring of compliance to regional and international commitments/instruments along social welfare development;
Provide technical and secretarial support to UN, APEC and pertinent ASEAN bodies such as AMMSWD, SOMSWD, ASCC, SOCA, ACWC;
Develop project proposals for funding of ICG/ASEAN/Development partners;
Preparation of Reports - Division, Project (Monthly, Quarterly, Semestral and Annual);
Render additional services as authorized in the exigency of the service, which shall be compensated accordingly.
