JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, perform a wide variety of skilled plumbing and plumbing related task in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Department’s building and facilities. Maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures and performing other related duties as required. 

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Attend to necessary plumbing maintenance, construction and repairs of water distribution lines, storm, drains, sewage lines, plumbing fixtures and other plumbing facilities of the Department;

2. Shall assist the Construction and Maintenance General Foreman; regulate and supervise the activities of other skilled personnel and technicians including inspection of their plumbing works;

3. Provide technical assistance/advice on maintenance and construction works including the use and care of building equipment and facilities;

4. Prepare and submit periodic reports to immediate supervisors;

5. Assist the BGMD Chief, Engineers and Architects in all building and grounds maintenance and constructions works; and

6. Undertake other tasks that may be assigned from time to time related to BGMD functions. 

Job Outputs:

1.  Weekly/Monthly repair/maintenance and monitoring reports.

2. Technical Assistance, feedback, and accomplishment reports.

3. Detailed Cost Estimate.

4. Other reports that may be required.

9.Performance Rating in the last rating period or its equivalent, if applicable.
