Job Description

 We wish to inform you that DSWD Field Office VII, Cebu City has the vacant COS positions:

 

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE

 

 

(1)  SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II – 3 SLOTS

Salary Grade                          :           15 (Php 36,619.00)

Status of Employment :           :           Contract of Service

Program/Division/Unit :           :           AVRC II & RSCC

Reports to                               :           Center Head

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

 

Education                                :           Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

Experience                              :           One (1) year of relevant experience

Training                                   :           Four (4) hours of relevant training

Eligibility                                  :           RA 1080 (Registered Social Worker)

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

 

Education                             :

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

Experience                           :

2 years of experience relevant to implementation of social welfare programs and services; exposure to center-based program implementation managing cases; exposure to vocational rehabilitation

Training                                :

4 hours of relevant training

Eligibility                               :

RA 1080 (Registered Social Work)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

1. Conducts interviews, home visits, jail visits, case counseling, case management conferences;

2.    Gathers collateral information;

3.    Handles court-related cases;

4.    Accomplishes social case study reports of clients;

5.    Attends hearings and testifies in court;

6. Coordinates network with NGAs, LGUs, NGOs, GOs, and private individuals on recruitment of trainees and sponsorship for training needs;

7.    Manages/refers WEDC cases;

8.    Network with the industrial sector (factory, shops, department stores, etc.) for possible absorption of graduates in the labor force;

9.    Prepares/submits project proposals, case studies and other reports;

10. Refers neglected, abandoned, abused and exploited children to institutions and for foster care.

11.  Performs other related task.
