JOB DESCRIPTION

The Statistician II shall provide technical assistance to the Section, perform the generation of statistical data; assist in preparation of statistical and technical reports; and perform other related works as instructed by the Operations Division Chief and/or Directors.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.Facilitate requests for statistical data and other poverty related reports that would assist various internal and external users/stakeholders in the implementation of social protection programs;

2.Generate statistical reports for National Profile of the Poor from the updated Listahanan database results;

3.Generate data from the Listahanan Database and processed the generated data in tabular or graphical form;

4.Draft narrative reports based on statistical or any similar provided;

5.Assist in the preparation of reports (quarterly, semestral, annual), presentation materials, and other related documents (communication letters, minutes of the meeting, activity proposal, etc.);

6.Provide technical assistance to the regional counterparts – Regional Associate Statisticians – regarding the regional profile of the poor, data generation, and other statistics-related concerns;

7.Data tracking of incoming and outgoing Operations Division documents; and

8.Perform other tasks and functions assigned by superiors and higher authorities.

Job Outputs:

1.Generated statistical data, poverty-related reports, and sectoral data;

2.Status/accomplishment reports related to project implementation;

3.Prepared pertinent and other related documents of the Operations Division; and

4.Technical assistance to the National Household Targeting Section (NHTS) Regional Associate Statistician related to statistics and data generation.

Initial Shortlisting:

Obtain 75% or 45 points of the maximum total score of Education, Training and Experience (ETE)

Top five (5) or less highest rating but rating should not be less than 65 points of the total ETE, performance rating and written examination results

Final Shortlisting:

Top five (5) or less highest rating but overall rating should not be less than 75%
