JOB DESCRIPTION

Under immediate supervision, assists in the management, maintenance and operation of the Department’s motor pool repair shop; and does related work.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.Perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs of DSWD vehicles including, but not limited to, brake system, clutch system, electrical charging system, under chassis, engine parts, etc.;

2.Conduct annual preventive maintenance on all phases of maintenance for each vehicle using prescribed forms (Vehicle Care and Maintenance Report, Vehicle Inspection Report);

3.Assist drivers in the performance of weekly preventive maintenance procedures to keep vehicles in good running condition and ensure road worthiness, passenger safety and fuel efficiency;

4.Advice superiors on quarterly servicing/preventive maintenance or 5,000-kilometer check-up, whichever comes first;

5.Determine nature of defects, extent of repair works and spare parts to be replaced to support Job Orders and RIS/PRs for the repair of vehicles;

6.Maintain orderliness and cleanliness and safe keep tools and equipment at the GSD-TMS Motorpool;

7.Render mechanic services, whether regular or overtime, as needed during disasters, emergencies or other exigencies of the service.

8.Maintain good attendance and punctuality in reporting for duty; and

9.Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate supervisors from time to time.

Initial Shortlisting:

Obtain 75% of the minimum total score of Education, Training and Experience (ETE);

Maximum Total Score of ETE only - 60%; 75% of 60 = 45%

 

Second Shortlisting:

Top five (5) highest rating but overall rating should not be less than 80%
