Eighty (80) hours ((40) hours of training in management and supervision; 40 hours of training in policy and research development)

Experience

:

Five (5) years of experience in project development, research, social work practice, legislative work


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Social Welfare Officer V shall lead the provision of the key technical support to the member and coordinating agencies in the formulation of policies, development of programs, crafting of policies, plans and strategies for the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the administration of juvenile justice and welfare. He/she shall act as the Planning Officer of the agency.


Functions and Responsibilities:

1. As head of the division, he/she shall oversee, plan direct and supervise the Division in the provision of technical assistance to JJWC/RJJWC member-and coordinating-agencies and other stakeholders along policy, program development and research on juvenile justice and welfare;

2.Provides technical assistance in the development and updating of a comprehensive 3-5 year comprehensive national juvenile intervention program;

3.Facilitates the conduct of research and support evaluations and studies on all matters related to juvenile justice and welfare; 

4.Consolidates and finalizes the Work and Financial Plan of JJWC;

5.Evaluates and submits periodic and special reports as basis of report of the Division and the agency;

6.Plans, programs and distribute and monitors work of the division;

7.Motivates, train and develop staff;

8.Reviews and evaluates the performance of staff;

9.Maintains morale and discipline among staff;

10.Develops cooperative and well-coordinated workforce;

11.Coordinates and cooperates with other organizational units within the agency; and

12.Performs other tasks as may be assigned by Deputy Executive Director, Executive Director, and council members.

1.Reviewed and enhanced policies, program designs, research reports for onward submission to the management and council

2.Work, Financial and Physical Plan of the agency

3.Planning parameters

4.Policy recommendation for submission to the Congress, President and Supreme Court
