 SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II

Education    :       Bachelor's Degree in Social Work 

Training         :       Four (4) hours relevant training

Experience :       One (1) year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualification Standards:

 

Education    :       Bachelor's Degree in Social Work 

Training         :       Four (4) hours relevant training

Experience :       2 years of experience relevant to implementation of social

welfare programs and services; exposure to center-based

program implementation managing cases

Eligibility     :       RA 1080 (Registered Social Worker)



Primary Tasks:


  • Conducts interviews, home visits, jail visits, case counseling, case management conferences; 

  • Gathers collateral information; 

  • Handles court-related cases; 

  • Accomplishes social case study reports of clients; 

  • Attends hearings and testifies in court; 

  • Assesses and recommends qualified clients for SEA loan or financial assistance; 

  • Coordinates network with NGAs, LGUs, NGOs, GOs, and private individuals on recruitment of trainees and sponsorship for training needs; 

  • Manages/refers WEDC cases; 

  • Network with the industrial sector (factory, shops, department stores, etc.) for possible absorption of graduates in the labor force; 

  • Prepares/submits project proposals, case studies and other reports; 

  • Refers neglected, abandoned, abused and exploited children to institutions and for foster care.

  • Performs other related tasks.

Initial Shortlisting: Obtain 75\% of the maximum total score on ETE
