PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          :  Bachelor’s degree preferably in Public Administration, Business

                             Administration, Community Development, Economics,

                             Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business

                             Management, Sociology, Human Resource Management

                             and/or Accounting

Experience        :  At least six (6) months of relevant experience on logistics

                             management preferably in research and development

Training             :  At least four (4) hours training on logistics management preferably

                             in research and development

Eligibility            :  None required

1.    Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, organization, leadership and supervisory skills.

2.    Validates data/information accuracy and consistency

Job Summary:

The Technical Staff is working under the direct supervision of the Section Head and assists in the over-all research and development of products and processes of NRLMB.

Primary Tasks:

1.    Assists in the recommendation of improvements on policy review and development/enhancement of strategies, systems, processes and standards/guidelines in all NRLMB processes

2.    Assists in the planning, design and management of research and development initiatives to contribute to product development/enhancement

3.    Propose areas for research and development and prepare concept papers and case study reports on new projects, activities or development

4.    Assists in the conduct of research and experimentation

5.    Recommends system enhancements and improvements of product design/packaging

6.    Assists in the establishing technical specifications for new or enhanced product design/packaging.

7.    Assists in the determination and establishment of storage, handling requirements and shelf life to items/products

8.    Provide technical assistance to DSWD Field Offices related to research and development and introduction of new projects.

9.    Ensures maintaining the product samples for Food and Non-Food items.

10.  Attends meetings, conferences and other activities related to Research and Development in behalf of the Section Head as delegated

11.  Serves as a resource person for the technical assistance to be provided to partner/stakeholders and FOs counterpart in addressing the topic related to research and development

12.  Performs other tasks as may be required from time to time.
