Education

:

Bachelor's Degree in Development Communication/Information Management/Mass Communication, Development Studies or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience

Experience

:

At least two (2) years of experience in communication and/or marketing with development projects

Training

:

At least eight (8) hours of relevant training

Additional Competencies:

·       Demonstrated capacity to design communication and marketing strategies

·       Proficient in the use of MS Office

·       Proficiency in publishing software a plus

·       With strong networking skills

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Development Officer III will primarily serve as the Social Media Manager of the different social media platforms of the Program. The main function of the position is to lead the Social Marketing aspects in promoting the Program, as well as providing technical assistance to different SLP units and Regional Program Offices (RPM0s). Further, the PDO III shall coordinate with the Social Marketing Service (SMS) of the Department in achieving the unit goals.

Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordination with SMS and the Field Office Social Marketing Units (SMUs) and designated SLP Social Marketing Officers (SMOs)

-        Ensure that all communication-related activities and messages of SLP are consistent and cohesive with the Department's plan in line with the implementation of the Devolution

  1. Project Implementation

-        Ensure smooth Implementation of projects in a timely manner.

  1. Social Media Management & Marketing

-        Develop and implement social marketing activities at the national level geared at reaching out to oversight agencies. funding institutions, legislators, private sectors, media and other targeted stakeholders to enable these sectors to gain a better understanding of the work, benefits/value of the Program in the overall government poverty reduction efforts

-        Prepare and execute a national social media content plan; Produce, monitor and curate social media content for social media accounts and the SLP website; Ensure the alignment of the SLP social media accounts with the official DSWO accounts;

-        Update the DSWD SLP website with the new materials including stories, studies, reports, safeguards and other documents to expand public access to relevant information about the Program

4.     Advocacy & Promotions

-        Facilitate assessment and planning sessions with regional counterparts to identify accomplishments, constraints and challenges and develop appropriate plans for the succeeding year of implementation

5.     Perform other tasks to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of SMKMU

6.     Perform other tasks assigned by the National Project Manager.
