PLANNING OFFICER III

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY-BASED)

Education

:

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Social Sciences or related fields

Experience

:

At least 2 years of experience in policy formulation and review, planning mechanisms development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, social research and data/ information management; Background in Data Processing using Statistical Tool

Training

:

At least 16 hours relevant training in policy formulation and review, planning mechanisms development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, social research and data/ information management

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.     Drafts and provides inputs to policy recommendations of other divisions/units and tracks the progress of the policy formulation/enhancements and approval process;

2.     Translates relevant policies from national government offices (including the Department of Social Welfare and Development) that are to be implemented in the 4Ps;

3.     Develops or suggests improvements and implements planning mechanisms (systems, protocols, and tools);

4.     Consolidates the annual thrust, priorities and work plans of the National Program Management Office (NPMO), divisions/units and field offices and track progress based on these;

5.     Creates and updates the regional, provincial and municipal profiles

6.     Prepares correspondences, monitoring reports and other special reports for stakeholder and requesting parties

7.     Conducts program orientation for external audiences
