We wish to inform you that the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) has one (1) vacant Permanent position with details as follows:

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER IV

Salary Grade     : Php 65,319.00

Location            : Office of the Executive Director

Reports to         : Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director

CSC PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          : Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job

Training             : Sixteen (16) hours of training relevant to the job

Experience        : Three (3) years of experience relevant to the job

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Education        : Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Social Work, Public Administration, Public Management, Law or related field

Training             : Sixteen (16) hours of managerial training; Twenty-four (24) hours training in program/project implementation, coordination and monitoring, children’s rights, juvenile justice and welfare and other relevant trainings

Experience        : Three (3) years of supervisory experience; three (3) years of experience in coordination and monitoring

Additional Requirements

Knowledge on national and international laws, conventions, standards and guidelines on juvenile justice.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Development Officer IV (RJJWC Coordinator) shall provide technical and administrative support to the Office of the Executive Director in monitoring, coordination and providing technical assistance to the 17 Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC) Secretariats. He/She shall assist the Executive Director in liaising and supervising the operations and activities of the JJWC Secretariat to support the JJWC in performing its mandate, duties and functions pursuant to the provisions of RA 9344 as amended and its implementing rules and regulations.

PRIMARY TASKS

1.     Monitors implementation of RJJWCs Work and Financial Plan vis-á-vis fund utilization

2.     Provide technical assistance to RJJWCs on matters relative to the implementation of RA 9344 and its amendments, policies and guidelines

3.     Liaises between the Office of the Executive Director and RJJWC Secretariat

4.     Communicates instructions to RJJWCs based on the direction set by the Executive Director

5.     Shares pertinent information on good practice to RJJWCs to aid in enhancing performance

6.     Monitor performance of RJJWCs

7.     Performs other tasks as maybe assigned by the Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director

Job Outputs

1.     Monitoring and implementation of activities including fund utilization of the RJJWCs

2.     Provide technical assistance to RJJWC Secretariat

3.     Coordinate with DPWH, DSWD and LGU on the construction/improvement of Bahay Pag-asa
