SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER III

CSC PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          :  Bachelor's degree in Social Work

Experience        :  Two (2) years of relevant experience

Training             :  Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Eligibility            :  RA 1080 (Social Worker)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          :  BS in Social Work or Masters in Social Work

Experience        :  Two (2) years of relevant experience in social welfare and development as direct service social worker, like execution of social welfare and protection plans, programs, activities including delivery of social welfare services and psychosocial activities

Training             :  Twenty four (24) hours of relevant training in the last five years on social welfare and development, social case management, psychosocial intervention, project/program management, monitoring, evaluation, technical writing, advocacy and networking

Eligibility            :  RA 1080 (Social Worker)

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.     Attend and provide airport assistance to repatriated distressed overseas Filipinos and their families;

2.     Prepare feedback reports and accomplishment reports to be submitted to the Secretary/ Undersecretary on the assistance provided to distressed overseas Filipinos and their families;

3.     Coordinates with DSWD NCR and concerned regions for airport assistance to repatriated OFs;

4.     Attend to/coordinate program and admin concerns of assigned SWAtts to appropriate DSWD OBSUs and partner agencies;

5.     Provide technical assistance to, monitor, and ensure compliance of assigned SWAtt to reportorial requirements, directives and referrals from Home Office (in form, content/substance and timeline);

6.     In coordination with concerned OBSUs, provide comments to reports and documentary requirements submitted by SWAtts;

7.     Endorse to concerned OBSUs SWAtts submitted reports and documentary requirements;

8.     Prepare and submit to concerned DSWD OBSUs, consolidated ISSO periodic reports (on rotation basis basis/arrangement with other technical staff;

9.     Act/monitor referrals of assigned SWAtts;

10.  Act/attend to requests from OBSUs and partner agencies that concerns the assigned SWAtts;

11.  Comply with the superiors/management directives/instructions as well as submission of administrative/office documentary requirements for all staff;

12.  Establish and maintain system of monitoring the compliance of assigned SWAtts to administrative (include financial and documentary/reportorial) and program (include referrals) requirements of the Home Office;

13.  Coordinate/attend to concerns/requirements of special assignments; and

14.  Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.
