PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER II

CSC PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          : Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job

Training             : 4 hours of relevant training

Experience        : 1 year of relevant experience

Eligibility            : Career Service Professional/2nd level eligibility

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Education          : Social Science Course (BS Social Work or BS Anthropology)

Training             : 8 hours training on juvenile justice and welfare

Experience        : 2-year work experience in the juvenile justice and welfare field

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the PDO II provides technical assistance and administrative support to project focals; assists in developing project materials and performs other related tasks or directives specifically with regard to coordination of Bahay Pag-asa projects.

PRIMARY TASKS:

  1. Provides technical assistance to local government units (LGUs) in complying with the requirements of the JJWC on the allocation of budget support on BPA construction;

2.     Drafts and coordinates approval of council resolutions for the approval of national budget allocation to qualified LGUs for the establishment/improvement of Bahay Pag-asa;

3.     Drafts and coordinates approval of memorandum of agreement among LGU, JJWC and DPWH;

4.     Coordinates the development of architectural and engineering (A&E) plans by the LGU based on JJWC’s approved standard A&E plans;

5.     Coordinates with DPWH District Office on the development of program of works based on the approved A&E plans;

6.     Monitors the construction of BPA to ensure that it is in accordance with approved standards and plans;

7.     Ensures that liquidation and other relevant reports are submitted by LGUs and DPWH; and

8.     Provides policy recommendations for an improved BPA-project implementation.
