JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction and with substantial latitude for the exercise of independent judgement, engaged in varied and special work pertaining to disaster and climate change risk resiliency and performs very challenging, urgent and important work involving provision of technical assistance and resource augmentation support, requiring minimum training and considerable experience and knowledge. 

PRIMARY TASKS 

1.     Monitor and provide technical assistance and evaluate implementation of the program along DRRM;

2.     Prepare consolidates reports and submit its recommendations relative to the implementation of the DRRM program;

3.     Develop new technologies and enhance implementation systems and procedures of programs/projects along DRRM particularly on Social protection for women and children and other vulnerable sectors concern in emergency;

4.      Formulate policy guidelines and monitoring instrument needed in the implementation of programs and services related to DRRM particularly on social protection for women and children and other vulnerable sectors concern in emergency;

5.      Review, assess and provide comments/inputs to the draft guidelines in relation to DRRM programs;

6.      Review, analyze and provide comments/inputs on accomplishment report submitted monthly/quarterly/semi-annual and annually by the Field Offices;

7.      Conduct assessment and evaluation of the DRRM program implemented;

8.      Act as Focal person/Secretariat at NDRRMC – Response Pillar during the activation of the NDRRMC – Operation Center;

9.      Attendance to inter-agency, inter-bureau meetings, special events and training/workshop in relation to DRRM and CCA PPAs;

10.    Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor. 

Job Outputs:

1.     Memoranda and other office communications;

2.     Periodic consolidated and comprehensive reports with analysis;

3.     Feedback/monitoring reports;

4.     Guidelines and/or inputs to policy papers;

5.     Work and Financial Plans (WFP);

6.     TARA plans and accomplishments;

7.     Cooperation/Partnership Agreement; and,

8.     Reports on project implementation review and impact assessment.
