Position : Statistician II

Salary : P31, 752 (SG 15)

Functions and Responsibilities:


  1. Develops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases (eg. AFCIS, CDCLAA, Adoption and Foster Care Caseload Inventory, etc.)

  2. Uses existing  statistical software and a variety of established statistical methods to analyze, and interpret reports/data to derive useful information for advocacy or for research studies;

  3. Formats data, develops and prepares reports charts, tables, and other related documents and graphics;

  4. Provides projections of future increase/decrease of adoption/foster cases and other related concerns;

  5. Collaborates with other statistician or planning officer in the performance of other related tasks;

  6. Assists in program planning and management with other ARRS staff;

  7. May assist ARRS personnel on encoding, data banking and other IT-related functions;

  8. Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them;

  9. Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses;

  10. Troubleshoot data-related problems or coordinate with appropriate for resolution;

  11. Develops facts-based IEC materials; 

  12. Prepares narrative and statistical reports related to alternative family care programs;

  13. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
