DSWD FO XII is filling-up three (3) Vacant Position;

Position                       : Area Coordinator (2)

Salary Grade              : 18 (40,637.00)

Employment Status    : Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

Area of Assignment    : KALAHI CIDDS- NCDDP Sarangani and North Cotabato Areas

 

Preferred Qualifications (Competency-Based)

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Public Administration, Social

Work or any of the Social Sciences.  Post-graduate degree or units in social science, sociology, anthropology, community development, development research, project management, and/or development studies will be an advantage.

 

Training: At least eighty (80) hours of relevant training in community organizing, and community develoment approaches, strategies/methodologies.  Training in Project Management, Gender and Development, Participatory Local Governance, Community-based Resource Management, Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction Management, or Conflict Sensitivity and Peace Building, and IP sensitivity will be an advantage.

 

Experience: At least five (5) years of combined, progressive experience in project management, community organizing, and community development strategies/methodologies, two (2) years of which should be in a supervisory[1] capacity.  Experience in Participatory Local Governance, Community-based Resource Management, Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Gender and Dvelopment, and Conflict Sensitivity and Peace Building, and IP sensitivity will be an advantage.  Prior work experience in the KALAHI-CIDSS and other similar CDD Projects will also be an advantage.

 

 

            Core Function:

  1. Manages ACT operations leading to NCDDP outcomes in the municipality, and Barangay and Municipal LGU engagement in Project activities.
  2. Provides Technical Assistance (TA) to the ACT, Municipal Coordinating Team (MCT) and Community Volunteers (CV)
  3. Coordinates TA from the Regional Project Management Office (RPMO)/Sub-Regional Project Management Office (SRPMO) to ACT, MCT, and CVs. 
  1. Coordinates external - National Government Agency (NGA), Civil Society Organization (CSO), Local Government Unit (LGU), Private Sector - and internal - Municipal Action Team (MAT) - convergence.
  2. Processes reports (gathering, consolidation, and transmittal) of team members following prescribed Project formats and procedures.
  3. Generates lessons/best practices from field implementation experience of ACTs, MCTs, and CVs.
  4. Conducts Quality Assurance and Quality Control of CEAC implementation in the municipality.
  5. Ensures compliance to social and environmental safeguards, and gender standards in the preparation and implementation of community projects.
