JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction and with substantial latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, engaged in varied and special work pertaining to Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM) and Disaster Risk Reduction Management and performs very challenging, urgent & important work involving provision of technical assistance and resource augmentation support, requiring minimum training and considerable experience and knowledge on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overall coordination with the assigned area for the timely implementation of CCAM projects
• Assist to review, analyze and provide comments/inputs on accomplishment reports submitted by the Field Offices on their implementation on Cash for Work for CCAM on expected due dates (monthly/quarterly, semi-annual and annually)
• Assist in drafting and/or enhancing guidelines related to CFW on CCAM programs/projects/activities.
• Assist in reviewing and providing comments/inputs to the draft guidelines of other OBS and/or Cabinet Cluster for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
• Assist in monitoring and providing technical assistance and resource augmentation along CCAM and DRRM programs/projects and activities.
• Maintain updated reports on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Prepare communications, agreement & MOA with stakeholders
• Attendance to inter-agency, bureau meetings, special events and training/workshop related to CCAM/CFW and DRRM activities.
• Prepare project proposal related to CCAM and DRRM activities
• Secretariat at NDRRMC-Response Pillar during the activation of the Response Operation Center
• Prepare Feedback Reports & minutes of the meetings
• Perform other related tasks as maybe assigned by the Supervisor
