Job Description
We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Social Marketing Unit has a vacant Information Officer II position with item no. OSEC-DSWDB-INFO2-87-2004, SG–15 with a monthly compensation rate of Php24,887.00. Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013):
Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)
Education : Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job
Training : Four (4) hours of relevant training
Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience
Eligibility : Career Service Professional/Second Level Eligibility

Primary Functions:
v Formulates and executes communication plans
v Establishes linkage with mass media practitioners
v Proposes editorials on social welfare
v Writes news release, feature articles, propose position papers on social welfare and drafts manuscript or correspondence useful for public information purposes
v Drafts letters and other correspondences
v Assists in the production of information materials of centers and other units
v Assists in the coverage and advocacy needs of special events and regional activities
v Arranges radio, TV and Press interviews for Field Office and covers significant activities of the Field Office, guesting of concerned staff, media coverage, press briefing and conferences
v Acts as the over all in charge of the region’s special events
v Participates in internal and inter-agency meetings and projects
v Acts as the official spokesperson of the Field Office
v Performs all other related tasks as may be assigned.
