Job Description

We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Emergency Assistance Section on Crisis Intervention has a vacant Social Welfare Officer II position SG – 15 under a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with a monthly compensation rate of Php24,887.00.  Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013):    

 

 

Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)

 

Education                    :           Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Training                       :           Four (4) hours of relevant training  

Experience                  :           One (1) year of relevant experience

Eligibility                    :           RA 1080 (Social Worker)

Primary Functions:

 

v  Assists in planning in the delivery of social services and programs of the unit.

v  Conducts interviews, home visits, counseling, case management, and jail visit when necessary.

v  Handles court-related cases.

v  Gathers collateral information.

v  Prepares social case study reports and home study reports.

v  Prepares/submits project proposals, accomplishment reports and other related reports.

v  Refers neglected, abandoned, abused, exploited and surrendered children to institutions and other organizations for services which are deemed appropriate.

v  Represents DSWD in meetings and conferences and coordinates with other agencies.

v  Provides psychosocial intervention to clients who are victims/survivors of trafficking in persons

v  Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
