Job Description
We wish to inform you that the DSWD-National Capital Region is inviting applicants for the vacant positions with details as follows:
A. Position : Two (2) Social Welfare Officer V
Place of Assignment : Field Office
Salary Grade : 24
Item Number : OSEC-DSWDB-SOCWO5-135-2004

Compensation : Php 49, 750.00
B. Minimum Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
(Pursuant to CSC Resolution No. 020962 dated 9/12/03)
Training : Twenty-Four hours of training in management and supervision
Experience : Four (4) years of position/s involving management and supervision
Eligibility : RA 1080 (Social Worker)
C. Primary Functions:
v Executes and implements policies and programs, regulations and work decision within the limit of delegated authority.
v Maintain cooperative and harmonious relationship with other entities and agencies public and private in the promotion of community development and welfare.
v Make representation for the allocation of program fund necessary in implementing the DSWD program.
v Directs and supervises the work of SWO III, Social Welfare Assistant, Social Welfare Aide, Administrative staff and other staff in the performance of their district, assigned workload to ensure their growth, better understanding and interpretation of functions and programs.
v Conduct regular supervisory conference (individual or group) with the staff to ensure their growth, better understanding and interpretation of functions and programs.
v Direct the conduct of socio-economic survey to identify condition that may be held by Social Welfare method.
v Supervise the preparation and maintenance of field operation and statistical report pertaining to the program
v Supervise and carry out the personnel training program for the Branch and supply through training the need of individual and group for position of leadership
v May perform other related tasks

Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (January to December 2014):
Request for extension of submission will not be entertained. Applicants who failed to submit the complete requirements are considered disqualified. In view of the volume of applications received by the Department only qualified applicants shall be notified for examinations.
