Job Description

 We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Golden Reception and Action Center for the Elderly and other Special Cases (GRACES) has a vacant SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II position SG – 15 under a Memorandum of Agreement with monthly compensation rate of Php 24,887.00. 

 

 

Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)

 

Education                    :           Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work

Training                       :           Four (4) hours of relevant training  

Experience                  :           One (1) year of relevant experience

in Community Work and Trafficking in Persons

Eligibility                    :           RA 1080 (Social Worker)

Primary Functions:

 

v  Assists in planning in the delivery of social services and programs of the unit.

v  Conducts interviews, home visits, counseling, case management, and jail visit when necessary.

v  Handles court-related cases.

v  Gathers collateral information.

v  Prepares social case study reports and home study reports.

v  Prepares/submits project proposals, accomplishment reports and other related reports.

v  Refers neglected, abandoned, abused, exploited and surrendered children to institutions and other organizations for services which are deemed appropriate.

v  Represents DSWD in meetings and conferences and coordinates with other agencies.

v  Provides psychosocial intervention to clients who are victims/survivors of trafficking in persons

v  Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.
