Job Summary:                                                                                                                                             
Under immediate supervision, performs bookkeeping/records keeping and clerical functions in the Accounting Division of the Department, and does other related work.
 
Job Description:
1.     Receives and records incoming and outgoing documents, financial reports and disbursements vouchers for various claims.
2.     Transmits memos and other communications to various Field Offices.
3.     Assists the claimants, suppliers and clients in acknowledging the receipt of payments by affixing his/her signature on the “Received Portion” of the Disbursements Vouchers.
4.     Process and reviews the completeness of supporting documents and correctness of computations for various financial claims and disbursements.
5.     Monitors and computes taxes withheld from compensations and from various suppliers and prepares/ issues the corresponding tax certificates.
6.     Prepares and remits taxes withheld to the BIR thru Tax Remittances Advice (TRA) and thru check.
7.     Monitors and prepares index payments of salaries, other compensation and benefits of all Officials and Employees including the mandatory deductions and remittances to various government agencies and GOCCs such as GSIS, Philhealth, NHDF and others.
8.     Issues certificate of deductions and remittances as required.
9.     Review the documents submitted by Field Offices to support their request of NCA with DBM to cover Accounts Payables and monitor the NCA releases from DBM.
10.  Monitors and controls the disbursements against NCA releases per program/ activities/ projects and prepares daily cash position reports.
11.  Prepares the reconciliation reports of disbursements and receipt of NCAs every month.
12.  Encodes/ prepares Journal Entry Voucher for disbursements, collections and deposits, NCAs and liquidation of cash advance.
13.  Prepares bank reconciliation reports of disbursements and receipt of NCAs every month.
