Job Description

We wish to inform you that the DSWD-National Capital Region is inviting applicants for the vacant positions with details: 

 

A.    Position                             :           One (1)  Social Welfare Officer III

Place of Assignment        :           Emergency Assistance Unit- Crisis Intervention

Salary Grade                    :           18

Item Number                    :           OSEC-DSWDB-SOCWO3-279-2004

Compensation                  :           Php 31,351.00

 

B.  Minimum Qualification Standards (Per CSC MC 1, s. 1997)

                                                                                                                                               

Education                   :           Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

Training                      :           Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Experience                  :           Two (2) years of relevant experience

Eligibility                     :           RA 1080 (Social Worker)

 

C.   Job Additional Requirements/ Additional Competencies:

                                                                                                                                               

Education                   :           BS in Social Work preferably with MS in Social Work

Training                      :           Eight (8) hours of training in counseling, case interviewing

and facilitation skills

Experience                  :           Two (2) years in handling case management

            Competencies             :           Case Counseling; Case Management; Networking and

Linkages; Records Management;

                                                           

Primary Functions:

 

v  Reviews all documents pertaining to the client’s need for assistance and recommends approval/ disapproval of assistance.

v  Executes and implements policies and programs of the section/ unit.

v  Supervises social workers, welfare aides and administrative staff  in the performance of their duties

v  Conducts regular supervisory conference;

v  Renders administrative decisions on matters within the limits of delegated authority.

v  Recommends allocation of funds and manages disbursement of funds to the clients.

v  Submits all reportorial requirements.

v  Conducts program evaluation.

Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013):    

 

Request for extension of submission will not be entertained.  Applicants who failed to submit the complete requirements are considered disqualified.
