Job Description

We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is inviting applicants for the following vacant positions.  Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and Individual Performance Contract and Review (IPCR) rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (July to December 2013):

Education                    :           Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job

Additional Requirements/Competencies:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Sciences, Community Development, Development Management, Business Management, Entrepreneurship or a course that is related to the primary industries that are present in the area of deployment (i.e., Agricultural Entrepreneurship, Forest Management, etc.);
  • At least four (4) hours relevant training in community organizing, alliance building, networking, resource mobilization, facilitating, value chain analysis, resource mapping, and/or community enterprise development;
  • At least one (1) year experience in development-related projects involving community organizing, community enterprise development, and/or capability building activities;
  • Computer literate with basic knowledge on MS Office applications, capable of facilitating meetings, generating business ideas, monitoring outputs, and reporting data with moderate guidance.

 

Primary Functions:

 

v  Create a detailed work plan for the implementation of the Sustainable Livelihood Program in his/her assigned municipalities.

v  Forge partnerships with key stakeholders that will help ensure the viability and sustainability of microenterprises that will established and create a job network of locally available employment opportunities.  The following stakeholders should be prioritized: LGU, field staff of national government agencies, business establishments, microfinance institutions, socio-civic organizations, civil society organizations, people’s organizations, academe, faith-based groups and other volunteers.

v  Identify, profile, organize and train the program beneficiaries for the establishment of market-oriented microenterprises and referral to employment opportunities.

v  Provide technical assistance to the beneficiaries and partner stakeholders in implementing sustainable livelihood initiatives through the Community Driven Enterprise Development.

v  Monitor the implementation of the program outputs at the beneficiary and community levels through the use of the different monitoring and evaluation tools provided by the central Office.

v  Prepare and submit reports and other documents required.

v  Function as a member of the DSWD Municipal Action Team together with the other field staff of the Pantawid Pamilya, KALAHI-CIDSS and Sustainable Livelihood (participate in all the meetings of the MAT, develop a Municipal Action Plan and perform assigned duties as agreed in MAT meetings)

v  Performs other related functions as may be assigned by the supervisor.
